Meet Jonila Buzzell, DMD

"After five incredible years as an associate of Dr. John J. Giordano, I am beyond excited to step into the role of owner of his dental practice. I feel truly fortunate to continue serving our amazing patients alongside such a dedicated and talented team."

Dr. Jonila (Pishtari) Buzzell, a Worcester native, is known for her gentle and compassionate approach to dentistry. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Boston University before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2012. Since then, she has been dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care to the Worcester community.

With a warm and calming presence, Dr. Buzzell strives to make every patient feel comfortable and at ease. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and Worcester District Dental Association, continuously expanding her knowledge to provide the best care possible. She has also volunteered with the Special Olympics, supporting individuals with disabilities in maintaining healthy smiles.

Dr. Buzzell has been recognized with the Clinical Excellence and Patient Care Awards for her dedication to high-quality, personalized dentistry. She takes the time to listen to her patients, ensuring their concerns are heard and their treatment plans are tailored to their unique needs. In 2014, she furthered her education in digital dentistry, enhancing her ability to provide precise, comfortable, and efficient treatments.

Meet John J Giordano, DMD

Dr. John J. Giordano IV DMD, COL was born and raised in Worcester, MA. He attended Saint Johns High School graduating in 1988 and Assumption College graduating in 1992. Dr. Giordano DMD, COL then attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston graduating in 1996. He chose to move back to Worcester and has been practicing dentistry ever since graduation. Dr. John J. Giordano DMD, COL furthered his dental education when he completed a year-long fellowship in Forensic Odontology at the Center for Education and Research in Forensics at the University of San Antonio Texas. While practicing general dentistry he served as a Dental Forensic Consultant to local law enforcement and the Rhode Island Medical Examiners office. In 2009 Dr. Giordano joined the MA Army National Guard. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2013. He currently holds the rank of Colonel and serves as the State Dental Officer for MA. His passion for dentistry continues as he serves the community as the Dental Consultant for the Worcester Child Development Head Start Program. Dr. Giordano is active in the Worcester Dental Society and the American Dental Association. He loves to interact with his patients and believes dental education and understanding will lead a patient to optimal dental health.

In March 2025, Dr. Giordano retired from private practice and transitioned the practice to Dr. Buzzell.
